StarWest hosts two rated dressage shows every year: Al Khamsa Dressage, traditionally on the third Saturday of June and Al Khamsa Fall Dressage, traditionally held on the third Saturday of September.

StarWest hosts three dressage schooling shows every year: CLD IceBreaker, traditionally held on the last Saturday of April, CLD FireCracker, traditionally held on the Saturday closest to July 4, and StarDust, the famous StarWest-Students-Only event traditionally held on the first Saturday of October.

Sir Celebration

stacks_image_5B6C7948-D058-49ED-B8E5-AFF802C7FAB3
The Sir Celebration has been held annually, with two exceptions, since 1986. It has raised thousands of dollars for the U.S. Equestrian Team, the body that supports U.S. equestrian olympic endeavors, over the years as well as money for each year's co-beneficiary. Usually it is held on the last Saturday evening of July.

The evening starts with a dinner held in the StarWest arena and moves to the outdoor for a performance of musical rides and "Through the Levels", a narrated presentation that shows the training scale using horses in training at StarWest as demonstrators. Both mounted and in hand training is shown. The evening usually concludes with a guest star performing an upper level freestyle. Make plans now to join us this year to enjoy a great evening helping two good causes.
